Salsa Cycles markets their Deadwood, a 29+, full-suspension trail bike model as a “Backcountry Singletrack / Endurance Racing / Bikepacking” rig. What about other applications however? Would it be any good for short track XC racing? We caught up with Ernesto at the Whiskey Off-Road race in Prescott, AZ to get his thoughts and were very surprised by what we heard. In the above video, we hear his thoughts on the Deadwood, why he chose it for the race, and where it outperforms his Specialized S-Works: You can view more details and specifications on the Salsa Deadwood on the Salsa website. www.SalsaCycles.com/bikes/Deadwood
