Bikepacking Setup for Stagecoach 400

I asked my good friend Rick if he would mind sharing his bikepacking setupfor the Stagecoach 400 route. He was sick when the grand depart left Idyllwild, CA a few weeks ago, so he is attempting an ITT this weekend upon the rig he shares in the video below.

He has a unique light bar he built himself that looks like it should work great. He used some bar ends and PVC along with some good ol’ DIY.

As Rick mentioned, this bike is old, but is like a good friend to him. It is also  a great example of an important philosophy I plan to speak about in an upcoming video & article surrounding the idea of “Riding Reasonably Priced Bikes” a mantra on a coffee cup I purchased to support Eric and his channel called, Spindatt.

You can track Rick’s progress this weekend on Trackleaders. His blue dot will be taking off on Friday 4/27/18 from Borrego Springs and moving around the Stage Coach route counter-clockwise. I am sure he would love to see some fellow cyclists join him for a few miles and talk to him about the journey and life.

Thanks for reading
