Not sure why more companies aren’t making bikes like this, but Jamis is genius. Cromoly, sliding dropouts, plus tires. WIN.
Good job Jamis. I hope you sell tons of these.

 

Below is the Jamis promo video, it appears they are marketing it as a bikepacking rig in this video. Seems like a suitable application, but I wouldn’t write it off as being a one trick pony. This could be a great everyday trailbike. They market it as both on the website however:

    Do you know if the rear dropouts are interchangeable like a paragon or alternator-style dropout?
    The jamis website just says they’re sliding but they look similar to a paragon.

      They look very much like paragon sliders and I would be surprised if they were not interchangeable. Thanks for the comment Andrew!
